The idea of starting a boat repair business came as a natural progression stemming from 34 years of experience in the Collision Repair Industry.  After retiring from a major automotive paint manufacturing company, I decided that this was an opportune time to do what I've always wanted to do.  I've always had a boat repair project, since my early years growing up around the Great Lakes.  I began working weekends on customer boats during my pre-retirement years.  As the business grew into more than a weekend job, I decided to retire from PPG Industries and start the business as a mobile service, which is what I still do today during the winter months.  From April through September I rent a building which serves as a home shop during those months.

As an National Instructor for PPG, I learned the value of education through manufacturer and supplier sponsored training, and personally took as many courses as were offered in the repair field of gel-coat, fiberglass & marine epoxy.  I was also invited to attend a week long hands-on training with Ranger Boats in Flippin Arkansas in order to become an authorized warranty repair facility.  These opportunities have provided me with a wealth of experience where I now specialize in Polyflake Repairs on all makes and models.
